A low seat does one plain job: it puts your feet closer to the ground when you stop. You feel that at every light and every junction, where your boots have to find the pavement and hold the bike up. Height alone doesn’t settle it, though. Seat width and the bike’s weight also decide how sure-footed it feels.

Every bike here qualifies on its stock seat, measured unladen as the manufacturer states it. On an adjustable seat, that means the lowest setting. Accessory and optional low seats don’t count. So when one catches your eye, check that the seat on it is the original. Then confirm that the exact generation and model year match the version listed here.

Every motorcycle below has a seat height under 30 inches from the factory, confirmed against manufacturer information. Where a trim or special edition shares it with the base bike, only the base bike is listed. A model that is missing here may still have it; it means we have not confirmed it yet.
