Touring Road Glide Special FLTRXS (MY2021)
The Bagger That Knows Everything
The Machine's Character
The Road Glide Special is the frame-mounted-fairing bagger in the Harley touring line, and that shark-nose front end is the whole idea. Because the fairing sits on the chassis instead of the bars, the bike tracks straight and steers with light effort at speed, and a 64.0 in (1626 mm) wheelbase backs that up. Behind it sits the 1868 cc air-cooled 45° V-twin, rated 93 hp with 118 lb-ft (160 Nm) at 3,250 rpm, running a belt through six gears. Blacked-out finish, hard bags, Boom! Box GTS infotainment, LED headlight. This is the factory-custom end of American touring: built to be looked at, then rebuilt to taste.
It rides the way those numbers suggest. Torque arrives early and stays there, so highway pace happens in top gear without thinking about it, and 853 lb (387 kg) stops mattering once you're above walking speed. The 25.9 in (658 mm) saddle gets most riders flat-footed, which is what makes the mass manageable at a stoplight. It suits the rider who wants presence and long-distance ease in one machine and fully expects to keep changing the bike; aftermarket support here is as deep as it gets. The honest caveat: 93 hp out of 1868 cc is a torque engine, not a fast one, and the front fork offers no adjustment at all, so a heavy two-up load gets sorted at the rear shock preload only.

Unintended brake light illumination (NHTSA 22V781000)

If this one isn't quite the fit, these are the bikes worth riding back-to-back against it.
Any price note compares both bikes at the same age — the youngest age both have on the used market — against this Harley-Davidson Touring Road Glide Special FLTRXS. “cheaper/pricier” is what that bike costs second-hand, not how worn it is.
