2. Editorial independence
NastyNils.com is a non-profit private blog. There are no native ads on this site. There are no sponsored articles, no affiliate placements that influence editorial verdicts, and no manufacturer relationships that condition coverage. All recommendations are personal, based on first-hand testing.
For media partnerships, sponsoring, advertising, or commercial product reviews, please contact the 1000PS sales team directly through www.1000ps.at. Inquiries directed to NastyNils.com that fall into commercial categories will be referred there.
3. Liability for content and external links
The content of this site has been prepared with the greatest possible care. No warranty is given as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content. As a service provider, the publisher is responsible for own content on this site under § 17 ECG and the general laws of Austria.
This site contains links to third-party websites. The publisher has no influence over the content of those sites and accepts no liability for them. Responsibility for the content of linked external sites lies exclusively with the operator of the respective site at the time the link is created. Links are reviewed at the time they are placed; the publisher cannot be expected to monitor them continuously without specific evidence of legal violations.
4. Copyright
All editorial content, photography, graphics, and code published on NastyNils.com are subject to Austrian copyright law and applicable international copyright treaties (including the Berne Convention and the WIPO Copyright Treaty). Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all rights are reserved.
Reproduction, modification, distribution, public communication, or any other commercial use outside the limits of copyright law requires the prior written consent of the copyright holder. For reuse requests (quotation, syndication, photography licensing, training of machine-learning systems), please write to nastynils@gmail.com with a clear description of the intended use.
5. Privacy notice
The protection of personal data is taken seriously at NastyNils.com. The site is intentionally built to collect as little personal data as technically possible. The data controller in the meaning of the GDPR is Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Nils Mueller, with the postal address listed in section 1.
6. What data we collect
NastyNils.com is a static website. We do not operate any login, registration, comment, newsletter, contact form, or e-commerce function. We do not ask for personal information, do not profile readers, and do not sell or share any personal information for advertising, retargeting, or audience-building purposes.
The only personal data processed in connection with this website are:
- Server access logs at our hosting provider — IP address, requested URL, HTTP referer, user-agent string, timestamp. See section 8.
- Direct correspondence by email — when you write to nastynils@gmail.com, your email address, name, and message content are processed for the sole purpose of replying to you.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure website) for server logs; Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a relationship at your request) for email correspondence.
7. Cookies, tracking, and analytics
NastyNils.com sets no cookies from its own domain. The site does not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other web-analytics or advertising tool. There is no fingerprinting, no session-replay, and no behaviour tracking of any kind.
Because no cookies are set and no tracking is performed, no cookie banner, no consent management platform, and no opt-out mechanism are required. The right under the EU ePrivacy Directive (the "cookie law") is preserved by the absence of any tracking technology.
8. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States. Vercel automatically processes server access logs (IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp) when you visit the site. This processing is necessary for the secure operation of the website and the prevention of abuse.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an adequate level of data protection for transfers from the EEA to the United States (Adequacy Decision of 10 July 2023).
Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
9. Third-party services and embedded content
NastyNils.com may include outbound links to third-party platforms (1000PS websites, YouTube, X / Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Wikidata). Clicking such a link takes you to a different operator with its own privacy practices and terms of service. The publisher of NastyNils.com is not responsible for the privacy practices of those operators.
Where YouTube videos are embedded, the so-called "privacy-enhanced mode" (youtube-nocookie.com) is used wherever technically possible, so that no cookies are set on your device unless you actively start the video.
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google may collect technical request data (IP address, user-agent) when fonts are fetched. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. If this transfer is not acceptable to you, please block third-party font loading in your browser; the site will fall back to system fonts.
10. Your rights under the GDPR (EU/EEA and UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR / UK GDPR) — to obtain confirmation of whether your data is processed, and a copy of that data.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16) — to have inaccurate data corrected.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17, "right to be forgotten") — to request deletion under the conditions of Art. 17.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18).
- Right to data portability (Art. 20) — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object (Art. 21) — including against processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77) — for Austrian residents, the competent authority is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at). UK residents may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
To exercise any of these rights, please write to nastynils@gmail.com. We will respond within one month, as required by Art. 12 (3) GDPR.
11. Your rights under US state privacy laws
If you are a resident of California (CCPA / CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Oregon, Texas, Montana, or any other US state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have rights regarding personal information that we may process about you. As stated in section 6, NastyNils.com collects only server access logs and email correspondence — no personal information is sold, no personal information is shared for cross-context behavioural advertising, and no profiling is performed.
Notwithstanding the limited scope of our processing, you may exercise the following rights to the extent applicable:
- Right to know what personal information we hold about you and the purposes of processing.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to exceptions in the applicable statute.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising — not applicable on this site, because we never sell or share personal information.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — not applicable, because we do not collect sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of the rights above.
To exercise any of these rights, write to nastynils@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding (typically by replying from the email address that originally contacted us, or by confirming details only the requester would know).
This site does not respond differently to "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control browser signals because no tracking is performed regardless of any signal.
12. Rights under other jurisdictions
Canada — PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25
If you are a Canadian resident, you have rights under the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, in Quebec, under "An Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector" (Law 25). These include the rights of access, correction, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Australia — Privacy Act 1988 / APPs
If you are an Australian resident, you have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), including the right to access and correct your personal information. Complaints can be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Other jurisdictions
If you are located in a jurisdiction not covered above and your local data-protection law grants you rights regarding your personal data, you may exercise them by writing to nastynils@gmail.com. We aim to respect equivalent privacy rights regardless of your location.
13. Minors
This site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (EU/EEA), under 13 (United States, COPPA), or under 18 (where local law requires). The content is general motorcycle journalism intended for an adult audience. Parents or guardians who believe their child has communicated personal information through the email address listed above should contact us, and we will delete that information.
14. Changes to this notice
This imprint and privacy notice may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, in our hosting setup, or in third-party services. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of the page indicates when the most recent substantive update was made. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days following the update.
