A belt drive does the chain’s job with a toothed belt. It runs from the gearbox or motor sprocket to a pulley on the rear wheel, with no chain or driveshaft in between. On the road that’s the whole point: a belt runs quieter and cleaner than a chain, and it needs no lube. Its tension and condition get checked at service intervals.

If one of these bikes interests you, pin down the exact generation and model year of the one you’re looking at and match it to the list. Every bike here gets its belt from the factory. Scooters aren’t included: their belt sits inside the CVT variator. Then look at the service records and see when belt tension and condition were last checked.

Every motorcycle below has belt drive from the factory, confirmed against manufacturer information. Where a trim or special edition shares it with the base bike, only the base bike is listed. A model that is missing here may still have it; it means we have not confirmed it yet.
