Big Dresser, Low Threshold
The Ultra Limited Low takes Harley's full-dress touring platform and drops the saddle to 25.6 inches, the lowest perch you'll find on a premium tourer. Underneath sits the Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 103, a 1690 cc 45-degree V-twin that runs air and liquid cooling together and lays down 105 lb-ft of torque low in the rev range. It's a Project RUSHMORE bike, so the full front fairing, hard bags and top box, Boom! Box infotainment, and ABS all come standard. At 86 hp it's engineered to haul weight and miles in comfort, not to hustle.
On the road it does what a big Harley bagger promises: it settles into a highway cruise and stays there for hours. This is a bike for shorter riders who refused to give up the full-dress experience, and for two-up couples logging real miles together. The honest caveat is the durability of the details. The Twin-Cooled water pump has been known to fail around 30,000 miles, and the Boom! Box screen and heated grips have their off days. Buy on condition and service history, not just mileage.
Spec sheets don't ride bikes, but they set the baseline.

Hydraulic clutch master cylinder failure (recall)
In certain 2015-2016 models, the clutch master cylinder may lose ability to fully disengage the clutch after extended parking due to gas ingress in the fluid, potentially causing unexpected movement when starting in gear. Covered by NHTSA recall 15V-216 / 16V-471.
Saddlebag mounting receptacle failure (recall)
Saddlebag mounting receptacles may not adequately secure the saddlebags; a bag can separate from the motorcycle while riding, creating a road hazard and increasing crash risk. NHTSA recall 15V427000 (H-D 0166) covers 2015 Ultra Limited Low FLHTKL; dealers replace the receptacles free of charge.
Water pump failure
The original water pump on Twin-Cooled models can fail, often at around 30,000 miles, leading to coolant leaks and potential overheating. Many owners replaced under warranty or with updated design.
Boom! Box infotainment screen failure
Premature freezing or dead touchscreen reported by owners; may require warranty replacement of the head unit.
Heated grip element failure
Heated grips may stop working due to failed heating elements; typically covered under warranty.

If Sturgis and Daytona sit on your calendar every year, this bike brings the sound, presence, and comfort to roll in fresh and look right doing it. The low seat means you own every stop with confidence.
Made for Florida State Road A1A · Black Hills · Main Street, Daytona Beach
For long two-up hauls across the parks, the fairing, luggage, and all-day saddle earn their keep. Just budget for the Twin-Cooled pump and the screen quirks on higher-mileage examples.
Made for Beartooth Highway · Blue Ridge Parkway · Going-to-the-Sun Road
You'll love the comfort and stability on Highway 1 or the Blue Ridge, but at 895 pounds this is a cruiser at heart. If you want quick, flickable pace through tight turns, look lighter.
Made for Black Hills · Blue Ridge Parkway · Cherohala Skyway
If this one isn't quite the fit, these are the bikes worth riding back-to-back against it.
Any price note compares both bikes at the same age — the youngest age both have on the used market — against this Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Limited Low FLHTKL. “cheaper/pricier” is what that bike costs second-hand, not how worn it is.
