Every bike here carries a top speed at or above the list’s mark, either as the manufacturer states it or as an independent test measured it. It’s the same figure you’ll find in that bike’s buyer’s guide. Read it with care: several makers limit their fastest road bikes electronically. So the number tells you what the bike is allowed to reach, not always what its engine could do.

If one of these bikes interests you, pin down the exact generation and model year first, then open the buyer’s guide for that bike. Check whether its figure comes from the maker or from a test, and whether it’s an electronic limit. Then look at peak power, gearing and aerodynamics, because they decide how a bike gets there.

Every motorcycle below has a top speed of 180 mph or more from the factory, confirmed against manufacturer information. Where a trim or special edition shares it with the base bike, only the base bike is listed. A model that is missing here may still have it; it means we have not confirmed it yet.
