A boxer engine lays its cylinders flat, in pairs facing each other on opposite sides of the crankshaft. The pistons move in and out together, like two boxers trading punches. That layout keeps the engine’s weight low. You’ll spot one at a glance: the cylinder heads stick out to the sides.

Every bike here comes from BMW or Honda with a boxer fitted at the factory. V-twins, V-fours and inline engines don’t count. When one of them interests you, pin down the exact generation and model year of the bike in front of you. The figures shown with each bike belong to that exact version.

Every motorcycle below has boxer engines from the factory, confirmed against manufacturer information. Where a trim or special edition shares it with the base bike, only the base bike is listed. A model that is missing here may still have it; it means we have not confirmed it yet.
