Displacement is the combined swept volume of all cylinders, and it’s the figure you use to sort motorcycles into size classes. Inside one class, though, the bikes are far from identical: power, weight and character still differ widely with the number of cylinders, the state of tune and the type of bike. Scooters don’t make this list at all.

When a bike here catches your eye, pin down the exact generation and model year of the one you’re looking at. Each one counts by its confirmed displacement, not by the number in its model name. If that confirmed figure falls outside this displacement range, the bike doesn’t belong here.

Every motorcycle below has an engine of 120 to 130cc from the factory, confirmed against manufacturer information. Where a trim or special edition shares it with the base bike, only the base bike is listed. A model that is missing here may still have it; it means we have not confirmed it yet.
