A V-four sets four cylinders in two banks of two, forming a V around a single crankshaft. Two things set it apart on a motorcycle. The engine is narrower across the frame than an inline-four of the same displacement. It also has a firing sound that’s distinctive to the layout.

Every bike on this list carries a V-four from the factory, with Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, QJ Motor and Yamaha all represented. Inline-fours, flat-fours and V-twins don’t count. When one of them interests you, pin down the exact generation and model year of the bike you’re looking at: that’s the machine you’d actually be buying.

Every motorcycle below has v4 engines from the factory, confirmed against manufacturer information. Where a trim or special edition shares it with the base bike, only the base bike is listed. A model that is missing here may still have it; it means we have not confirmed it yet.
