Italian Fire On A Trellis
MV Agusta built the F3 675 around a 675 cc inline-three with a counter-rotating crank, and almost everything else about the bike follows from that decision. The 126 hp peak arrives at 14,400 rpm and the 52 lb-ft at 10,600, so this is a machine that wants revs and pays back a rider who uses them. A steel trellis frame, fully adjustable suspension at both ends, and a ride-by-wire package with ABS, traction control, ride modes and an up-shift quickshifter make up the hardware. At 423 lb wet it sits among the small, sharp end of the supersport class, and it looks like nothing else in the parking lot.
This is a motorcycle drawn by people who cared more about intensity than about sanding the edges off. The riding position is committed, the 31.7 in seat is narrow, and the payoff is a chassis that stays honest the harder you lean on it. It suits a rider who already has the skill and wants the drama that comes with it. It is not for anyone who buys motorcycles on service intervals and running costs. Ownership asks for attention: a valve spring can break and drop a valve into the cylinder, the starter sprag clutch can fail, and the rear brake master cylinder can lose pressure or leak.
Spec sheets don't ride bikes, but they set the baseline.

Safety
Much of what I know about how the F3 675 lives comes from the people who own one. That means paddock talk, conversations with owners at the pumps, club-night chatter, and the messages riders send me directly. The pattern is clear. Owners love how it revs, steers, and was equipped for its day, and they are just as consistent about how much patience it asks for.
Riders consistently call the triple the heart of the bike: eager to rev and strong at the top. Handling comes up almost as often. Owners describe it as agile and stable at high speed, and many say it feels every bit a racing machine. Some also point out how much electronics it brought at launch, with ride-by-wire, several riding modes, and eight-level traction control, which was rare in the class back then.
The loudest complaint is ownership itself. Owners mention occasional electrical gremlins and say the bike needs a specialist dealer and plenty of patience. Early bikes draw complaints about jerky low-speed fueling and flat spots in the midrange, which make smooth riding in town hard work. The race-oriented suspension also gets called harsh on real roads, kicking sharply over bumps.
Valve spring failure causing dropped valve
A valve spring can break, allowing the valve to drop into the cylinder and cause catastrophic engine damage.
Premature sprag clutch failure
The starter sprag clutch can fail, causing grinding noises and difficulty starting; often requires replacement.
Rear brake master cylinder failure
The rear brake master cylinder can lose pressure or leak fluid, reducing braking effectiveness; replaced under warranty on some models.

Forget spec-sheet bragging. Here's who the F3 675 is actually built for.
Angeles Crest is exactly where this bike makes sense: light, precise, and loud enough to turn a Sunday morning into an event. Budget for the upkeep it will eventually ask of you.
Made for Angeles Crest Highway · Coronado Trail Scenic Byway · Big Sur Coast Highway
It gives you what a track session needs: fully adjustable suspension, lean clearance you cannot use up, and clear feedback. With no slipper clutch, your downshifts have to be tidy.
Made for WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca · Barber Motorsports Park · Circuit of The Americas
The Dragon and Cherohala reward a small, sharp bike, and this is one of the sharpest. It is a skill machine, not a comfortable one, so plan the drive in and ride it in short, hard stints.
Made for Tail of the Dragon · Back of the Dragon · Blue Ridge Parkway
If this one isn't quite the fit, these are the bikes worth riding back-to-back against it.
Any price note compares both bikes at the same age — the youngest age both have on the used market — against this MV Agusta F3 675. “cheaper/pricier” is what that bike costs second-hand, not how worn it is.
