Multistrada V2 (MY2023)

The Multistrada V2 is the mid-size half of Ducati's adventure line, and it makes its case with delivery rather than headline numbers. The 937 cc L-twin puts out 114 hp and 71 lb-ft, and both arrive early enough that you rarely think about which gear you are in. A 19-inch front wheel, fully adjustable suspension at both ends and a road-first chassis place it at the sport-touring end of the adventure class. Ride-by-Wire power modes, cornering ABS, traction control and ride modes are standard, along with a TFT dash, cruise control and smartphone connectivity.

On the road it behaves like a Ducati that has learned patience. The riding position is upright and roomy, the chassis stays calm when you load it with a passenger and bags, and the build quality is visibly where the money went. It fits the rider who wants long days on good roads, the occasional graded dirt detour, and a bike with real presence parked outside the motel. The honest caveat is the terrain limit: 6.7 inches of travel at each end and 6.7 inches of ground clearance means fire roads, not technical off-road. Plan the tour around pavement and you will not feel shortchanged.
