Husqvarna 701 Enduro LR (MY2020+) vs 701 Supermoto (MY2020)
Husqvarna 701 Enduro LR vs 701 Supermoto: where they split, and which one to buy.
On a broken backroad bend, the Husqvarna 701 Enduro LR's plush suspension soaks up the rough patches and doesn't kick back. The Husqvarna 701 Supermoto flicks over on its stiff trellis frame, and there's a wide set of bars egging you on to push. Every ripple comes straight back through its bars.
So which one do you buy?

What makes each one tick
701 Enduro LR
The 701 Enduro LR carries its long-range fuel load close to the center, and it'll still change line at a light nudge of the bar. Bumps don't jolt the pegs. There's give in the WP XPLOR fork and shock on every rock. The rear tire's hooked up over roots.
701 Supermoto
The 701 Supermoto's eager single lifts the front wheel at the slightest excuse, and there's an upright seat to ride it out. Hard on the brake lever before a hairpin, the chassis doesn't lose its poise. Your knee goes looking for asphalt. The front tire's always ready to point somewhere new.

Known problems to check before you buy
701 Enduro LR
- Front tank fuel line abrasion (recall) Recall 21V363000 Fuel lines on the front tank can chafe against the tank, risking a fuel leak. Husqvarna issued recall HTB2105 (NHTSA 21V-363) for 2020 models to replace the lines and add a securing clamp.
- Clutch slave cylinder failure The stock clutch slave cylinder is known to leak fluid or completely fail, leading to sudden loss of clutch disengagement. Installing an aftermarket replacement is a common preventative upgrade.
- Electrical gremlins (battery drain, intermittent dash flickering, occasional cut-outs) Owners report weak batteries leading to starting problems, intermittent display flickering, and occasional engine cut-outs, often resolved by switching to a lithium battery. Poor battery performance is a commonly cited frustration.

- Clutch slave cylinder O-ring failure Recall 21V792000 The bellows-style gasket in the clutch slave cylinder can become damaged during assembly, causing fluid leakage and eventually making the clutch inoperable. A recall (NHTSA 21V-792) covers this issue.
