Ducati Panigale V2 (MY2025-S) vs Hypermotard V2 (MY2026-SP)

Ducati Panigale V2 vs Hypermotard V2: two kinds of bike, and who each one is for.

Halfway through a tight string of bends, the Ducati Panigale V2 tips in on its steep front end and flicks between leans like it's chasing an apex. The Ducati Hypermotard V2 levers across its wide bars and flips direction the instant you push. It'll slide the rear out and still hold its line.

Racetrack use

Hands down: Panigale V2

On a closed course, the Panigale V2 makes far more sense. The difference is more lean clearance and more feel through the bars. It's the more serious track tool.

Buy the Hypermotard V2 if…

Daily commuting & city riding

Easy call: Hypermotard V2

If most of your miles are the commute, the Hypermotard V2 is your bike. It simply does the daily job better.

The Panigale V2 has the edge if…

Sporty riding on twisty roads

Inches ahead: Panigale V2

On a twisty road, the Panigale V2 edges ahead. Most of that is a sportier chassis. Not by enough to settle it alone.

What makes each one tick

Panigale V2

Low in the revs, the Panigale V2's twin already pulls hard enough that you don't need to wring it toward the limiter. Corner entry happens fast, because the short trail lets the bike drop into the turn with barely any input. The clip-ons ride high and the torso stays nearly upright, and a long street day or a full track session doesn't wear you out. The twin snaps it off corners.

Hypermotard V2

Mischief comes naturally to the Hypermotard V2: it'll lift the front wheel on a whiff of throttle and stays composed when it comes back down. The brake lever calls up big stopping power from the Brembo setup, with enough feel that a stoppie isn't a gamble. On the Angeles Crest Highway, the twin pulls clean out of the slow stuff and keeps charging hard toward the redline. Forged wheels change course on cue.
