Ducati Panigale V2 (MY2025-S) vs Multistrada V2 S (MY2025)
Ducati Panigale V2 vs Multistrada V2 S: where they split, and which one to buy.
Flick the Ducati Panigale V2 into a tight bend and it's darting for the apex before you've finished asking. The Ducati Multistrada V2 S's suspension soaks up mid-corner ripples.
So which one do you buy?
The Panigale V2 has the edge if…
Sporty riding on twisty roads
A touch ahead: Panigale V2
The Panigale V2 nudges ahead once the pavement starts to wiggle. Credit more feel through the bars and lighter steering. Don't expect a night-and-day difference.
The Multistrada V2 S has the edge if…
Daily commuting & city riding
Slight edge: Multistrada V2 S
For the ride to work, the Multistrada V2 S noses ahead. Don't let that alone make the call.
Which one's the smarter buy
Two different jobs
A supersport and an adventure bike do different jobs, so neither is the clear better buy for the money. The price gap is small enough that the choice comes down to what you actually ride.
What makes each one tick
Panigale V2
With the lightest twin Ducati has built, the Panigale V2 swaps direction the moment you lean on the bar, and its clip-ons sit high enough to keep the riding position close to upright. The engine pulls hard from low revs. You won't chase the redline. Hard on the brake lever, it stops with the cornering ABS working so quietly it's rarely noticed. Every exit, the rear squats and it's gone.
Multistrada V2 S
Along the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Multistrada V2 S keeps you sitting tall on a padded seat behind wind protection that holds fatigue off all day. Down low, the twin stumbles on the throttle and won't settle without a downshift. Up high, it's wide awake. The twin's bark sharpens with every thousand revs.
Nils rode the Multistrada V2 S in the Canary Islands in 2025 (NastyNils Testride).
