What makes each one tick

F 900 GS

The F 900 GS's broad bar and its controls land where you reach for them the moment you're seated. Broken mountain tarmac doesn't upset the fork, which tracks cleanly over every bump. On gravel the stock damping doesn't soak up hits, even at an easy pace, and each one reaches the seat. The Akrapovic silencer growls deep.

Nils rode the F 900 GS in Portugal in 2024, and in the Canary Islands in 2025 (NastyNils Testride).

F 900 XR

Low speeds show the F 900 XR's chassis at its calmest: it steers at walking pace without fuss and stays composed as speed climbs. The throttle carries a slight off-on snatch in Road mode, and you'll adapt to it quickly. Beyond that, the twin's exhaust rumbles as it pulls, though it runs out of breath high in the revs. The seat still works at sundown.
