Track Weapons In Street Clothes
The RX is the sharp end of the Street Triple line, a limited-run build that takes the 765 cc inline-three and wraps it in hardware most naked bikes never get. Power is 128 hp at 12,000 rpm with 59 lb-ft at 9,500, fed through a six-speed with Shift Assist working up and down the box. Öhlins carries the chassis: a fully adjustable NIX30 fork up front, the STX40 shock at the rear. Clip-ons replace the handlebar. Matte Aluminum Silver paint, a Diablo Red subframe and wheels, laser-etched RX logos on the silencer and top yoke.
On the road it rewards commitment. At 417 lb wet on 17-inch rubber front and rear, it changes direction with almost no effort, and the Öhlins gives you enough feedback to lean on the front tire with real confidence. Cornering ABS, traction control and ride modes sit underneath, including a dedicated Track setting. This is a bike for the rider who already knows what they want from a good back road. The honest caveat: a 32.9-inch seat combined with clip-ons makes for a committed riding position, and the engine does its best work high in the rev range. A gentle commuter it is not.
