KX327X (MY2027)
The Fuel-Injected Woods Two-Stroke
The Machine's Character
The KX327X is Kawasaki's closed-course cross-country machine, built around a 327 cc liquid-cooled two-stroke single with fuel injection, pre-mix lubrication, electric start and a hydraulic clutch. Kawasaki describes the engine and its exhaust valve system as newly designed, and says the aluminum perimeter frame is derived from the KX450F. KYB supplies the suspension: a 1.9 in (48 mm) inverted coil-spring fork and Uni-Trak rear, both adjustable. Electronics are part of the deal too, with traction control, two engine maps on a left-bar switch and smartphone connectivity. Its sibling, the KX327, is the motocross bike. This one gets a 21-inch front wheel, an 18-inch rear and a 6-speed gearbox. A serious package!
Read the spec sheet and the purpose is clear: wooded trails, tight technical sections and cross-country racing, which is exactly where Kawasaki positions it. Kawasaki says first gear was optimized for technical terrain and for lifting the front wheel over obstacles, and claims the exhaust valve system contributes to low-end torque. That's the right priority for an enduro bike, where rideability matters more than a peak number. Hand guards, skid plate, linkage guard, rear disc guard and side stand come standard, and the tank holds 2.3 gal (8.6 L). If you race cross-country or ride hard trails, the hardware points straight at you. Closed course only.
