GTS 125 Super Tech (MY2022)

Italian Icon With Real Agility

The Machine's Character

The GTS 125 Super Tech is the Vespa GTS 125 with the full tech package built into the classic shape. The body is a steel monocoque. Inside sits a liquid-cooled 125 cc i-get single making 14 hp at 8,750 rpm and 9 lb-ft at 6,750 rpm, with belt final drive. Vespa says the engine is smooth, quiet and frugal. The Tech name is backed by real equipment: a TFT display, smartphone connectivity with navigation, keyless ignition and an LED headlight, plus ABS and traction control as standard. That's the point of this version: the icon, fully wired. Style with substance behind it.

On paper, this is a city machine. 14 hp and 9 lb-ft point to urban traffic and the faster roads around town rather than long highway hauls, and the 1.8 gal (7 L) tank is sized for daily loops. At 328 lb (149 kg) wet, the steel body gives it real substance, and the 31.1 in (790 mm) seat height keeps it approachable. You get a center stand for parking at home and a rear shock with preload adjustment for when you carry a passenger. A luggage system is available as an option. The fork isn't adjustable. It's built for the rider who wants the icon and the daily tool in one. Style that commutes.

Known issues

  • Brake line corrosion causing fluid contamination

    brakes rare

  • Fuel pump failure

    fuel system occasional

Some owners have experienced sudden fuel pump failure, often shortly after the warranty expires. The scooter may cut out or refuse to start, requiring pump replacement.

  • TFT/MIA connectivity glitches

    electrics occasional

Users report intermittent issues pairing smartphones to the TFT system and connecting to Bluetooth helmets, sometimes requiring restarts or re-pairing.

  • Rear brake disc squeal

    brakes occasional
