GTS 125 Super Sport (MY2025)

125cc Icon That Actually Handles

The Machine's Character

The GTS 125 Super Sport pairs a small engine with serious construction. Power comes from a liquid-cooled 125 cc single making 14 hp at 8,750 rpm and 9 lb-ft at 6,750 rpm, sent to the rear wheel by belt. The body is the frame: a steel monocoque with 12-inch wheels at both ends. The Super Sport trim adds blacked-out details and its own graphics. Under the styling sits a real equipment list: ABS, traction control, keyless ignition, LED headlight, USB charging port and smartphone connectivity are all standard. That's a lot of kit for 125 cc.

On paper, this is a city machine through and through. A 31.1 in (790 mm) seat, a 54.5 in (1,385 mm) wheelbase and 324 lb (147 kg) wet point to a scooter built for traffic, short hops and tight parking, with a center stand and adjustable rear suspension as standard. The 1.8 gal (7 L) tank looks small, but at a rated 90 mpg you won't be stopping for fuel often. Heated grips are an option if you ride through the cold months. Nobody buys a Vespa as the most rational way across town: you buy it because you want the steel body and the name, and here the hardware backs up the style. Fair deal!
