Track-Only Feedback at Its Limit
The RC 8C is not a street bike with the lights taken off. It is a limited-run race machine that arrives safety-wired, with a data logger already fitted and no road-going concessions anywhere in the package. The 889 cc parallel twin makes 135 hp at 11,000 rpm and 72 lb-ft at 8,250 rpm, hung in a light tubular chassis with fully adjustable suspension front and rear and a six-speed box with a quickshifter both ways. Traction control, ride modes and wheelie control cover the electronics. Everything on this bike exists to serve a lap. Nothing on it exists to make a Tuesday easier.
Ridden hard, it does what the sharpest orange machinery always does: it plants you over the front wheel and feeds you grip information constantly, and it rewards a committed line instead of a wide, safe one. Lean clearance runs out long after most riders do. Ownership, though, is race ownership. You need a van or a trailer, a place to store it, and a trackday calendar that justifies the whole exercise, because there is no plate and nothing about this motorcycle wants to be ridden to work. If your riding life happens on public roads, this is the wrong bike, however badly you want it.
