Primavera Tech Elettrica 70 (MY2025)

Electric Vespa, Zero Compromise

The Machine's Character

This is the classic Vespa recipe with the combustion engine taken out: a steel monocoque body, a 12-inch front wheel and an 11-inch rear, now driven by an electric motor through a single-speed transmission. Output is 5 hp at 5,450 rpm and top speed is 43 mph (70 km/h), which puts it squarely in the urban class. The Tech trim supplies the modern layer: ABS, ride modes, a TFT display with smartphone connectivity, a keyless system, a USB charging port and an LED headlight. Vespa claims a range of 50 mi (80 km). Italian style, plugged in.

Read the numbers and the job description is clear: this hardware is built for the city and nothing else. A 43 mph (70 km/h) ceiling keeps you on surface streets, and the claimed range is sized for a day of commuting and errands before you plug in. At 287 lb (130 kg) wet, with a 31.1 in (790 mm) seat and a 53.1 in (1350 mm) wheelbase, it's compact on paper for tight traffic and small parking spots. A luggage system is an option, not standard. That points to you if you want a twist-and-go Vespa for short urban trips. Know your route first!
