Italian Soul, City-Ready Lightness
The GTS 125 Touring puts Vespa's steel monocoque body around a liquid-cooled 125 cc single making 14 hp, with 9 lb-ft at 6,750 rpm and a belt final drive. Vespa says the Euro 5+ i-get engine is exceptionally smooth, quiet and fuel-efficient. ABS and traction control are standard, as are an LED headlight and a center stand. The shape and the steel are why you buy it, and the spec sheet shows there's real hardware underneath. It's a design object first. A properly equipped one!
The numbers point to one job: the city. A 63 mph top speed, 12-inch wheels, a 54.3 in (1,380 mm) wheelbase and a 31.1 in (790 mm) seat height suit dense traffic, tight parking and short trips. Long highway runs aren't what it's for. At 353 lb (160 kg) wet, the steel body makes it a bit heavier than its 125 cc engine might suggest. The 2.0 gal (7.5 L) tank and the 8.7 in (220 mm) front brake fit the same urban picture. The rear shock takes preload adjustment, and the fork has no adjustment. If you want a stylish scooter you can commute on every day, this is built for you. City, first and last.
