The Machine's Character

The 946 Snake is a Vespa built as an object first: 888 numbered units, each in an iridescent icy-blue finish with a chrome snake on the fuel cap and the mudguard, and a snakeskin texture on the saddle and grips. Underneath sits honest scooter hardware. A steel monocoque carries the air-cooled 124 cc iGet single, good for 12 hp, with belt final drive. ABS and traction control are standard, and so is an LED headlight. In its class, that makes it a collector's piece you can actually ride to work, not a utility tool with nice paint. Rare thing!

On the road it's light, easy and at home in the city: the handling asks nothing of you, the controls are easy to live with, and the build feels solid. It's for you if you want something special for the daily run through town and accept that your head had little say in the purchase. The honest caveat is simple: with 12 hp you stay in urban territory. Inspect a used one carefully. Then enjoy it.
