Brutale 950 (MY2026)

The Triple That Demands Commitment

The Machine's Character

The Brutale 950 puts a 931 cc inline-three into a steel trellis frame, and the numbers tell you where it's aimed: 148 hp at 11,200 rpm and 79 lb-ft at 8,400 rpm. That places it in the gap between middleweight nakeds that run short on grunt and the four-cylinder hyper nakeds that ask too much of you on a public road. The electronics list is long: cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, ride modes, a quickshifter that works in both directions and cruise control. They keep the output manageable without sanding off the edge. That's the MV deal.

This is an exotic naked that wants commitment from you. The triple lays down its torque right where a winding road needs it, the throttle is sharp and the chassis is very rigid, so the bike rewards a skilled rider who gives it aggressive, clean inputs. On smooth pavement you get serious stability and corner speed. The caveat is just as clear: it isn't a relaxed commuter, and it doesn't flatter lazy riding. If you explain your bike purchases with reason and running costs, look elsewhere. If you want intensity with real substance underneath, this is your machine. No half measures!

A winding asphalt road descending through the Appalachian Mountains, likely the famous Tail of the Dragon section in Tennessee and North Carolina. Multiple technical right-hand and left-hand curves are visible in this aerial perspective, surrounded by deciduous forest in spring foliage. Clear sunny conditions, well-maintained asphalt with yellow center lines marking the curves.
