SRV 550 (MY2023)

The Affordable Café-Racer Twin

The Machine's Character

The SRV 550 is QJ Motor's take on the neo-retro roadster, and it leans hard into café-racer styling: round LED headlight, two-tone tank, top-stitched saddle. Under that look sits modern hardware that stays in the background. A liquid-cooled 554 cc parallel twin makes 47 hp and sends it through a six-speed gearbox and chain drive. It's all held in a steel-tube frame with an upside-down fork, a preload-adjustable shock and 17-inch wheels at both ends. ABS comes standard. In a class that sells on emotion, that's the right formula: the old look with current tech underneath. Simple recipe!

On paper, this hardware is built for relaxed to moderately spirited riding, not for chasing numbers. With 47 hp, a 31.1 in (790 mm) seat and a wet weight of 437 lb (198 kg), it points to a rider who wants a stylish twin for back roads, town and the weekend loop. The 4.2 gal (16 L) tank fits that kind of day. QJ Motor positions it as an affordable machine with plenty of style, so the bike has to back up its looks with substance. Plan for one thing: spare parts can take a while to arrive, which can mean longer downtime for repairs. Know that going in.

An elevated view of a deep autumn canyon, likely Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah. Steep rocky cliff faces and forested mountain ridges frame a narrow valley where a winding two-lane road passes below. Deciduous trees display full autumn color — gold, orange, and amber — interspersed with green conifers on the steep slopes. A single dark vehicle is visible far below on the road. Snow-dusted mountain peaks rise in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

If this one isn't quite the fit, these are the bikes worth riding back-to-back against it.

Any price note compares both bikes at the same age — the youngest age both have on the used market — against this QJ Motor SRV 550. “cheaper/pricier” is what that bike costs second-hand, not how worn it is.
